5 Cents. 1926. Far 6. ICCS graded Gem Uncirculated-65. The 1926 Far 6 is arguably the scarcest of the George V 5 cent nickels, especially in mint state. With only 26 examples certified MS-60 or higher by ICCS and 25 more by PCGS, this variety is less common than even the low mintage 1925. This coin, in spectacular Gem MS-65, stands alone as the single finest graded by ICCS, and only 3 others have been graded as its equal by PCGS. Notable Far 6's of past collections included an MS-63 (Belzberg) and an MS-64 (Dominion). More recently, the Canadiana collection featured an MS-65.

This coin exhibits a high degree of lively lustre, with virtually flawless obverse fields. The strike is especially sharp and is highlighted by a faint trace of straw-coloured toning. Overall the piece is breathtaking, easily rivalling the Canadiana coin and in our opinion, surpassing it.
